Each tub contains 20 servings of 15g each. 20 servings is the average of this category when you are looking at 15g servings, actually very much in line with Pre Jym, Pre Kaged and the C4 Ultimate. Also from an ingredient profile perspective, you are going to see a lot of the same ingredients.
|Key Ingredients & Dosage||Our Take|
|Energy & Thermogenics||Caffeine Anhydrous – 200mg
Eria Jarensis Extract – 250mg
DMHA – 200mg
|I am sure that the first thing that is going through your head right now, is 200mg caffeine? That’s it? Well, chill….You are getting 650mg of stimulants here that go way beyond caffeine.
Eria Jarenesis is a powerful CNS Stimulant which has become really popular in this category. Same goes for DMHA which at 200mg is at the higher end of the dosages we’ve seen.
|Endurance & Strength||Carnosyn Beta Alanine – 3.2g
Taurine – 1g
|An overdose of 3.2g of Beta Alanine seems to be the number for the designer Pre Workout players. And Kraken joins the party. Worth mentioning is that this is patented Carnosyn form which is considered more effective than ‘plain’ Beta Alanine.
Taurine at 1g is right at the clinical dosage to aid with recovery.
|Pump||L-Citrulline – 4g
Agmatine Sulfate – 1g
HydroMax – 2g
Novarline – 100mg
|Brace yourself, pumps are coming, The Kraken brings in more pump inducing ingredients at clinical dosages than other of its competitors in the category.|
|Focus & Mood||NALT – 500mg||Now to the brain boosting part, N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine (NALT) is the more stable and bioavailable form of the non-essential amino acid L-Tyrosine. aka NALT has been proven to increase dopamine and noradrenaline which help increase focus and mood.|
The Label’s Bottom Line- Kraken definitely brings in a solid mix of ingredients that will get your workout going. There’s no real ‘innovation’ here as far as the actual label, as all of these ingredients have been applied by the competition. We will say this though, as far as pump this is one of the most powerful labels we’ve seen for a pre workout. On the energy & stimulant blend, we’ve seen stronger mixes but the kraken has nothing to be ashamed of.
